This solution targets Ø75–110 mm induction bar quench-and-temper applications. It uses non-contact induction heating with PLC + IR closed-loop temperature control. Combined with skewed-roller feeding to improve circumferential heating uniformity, it achieves hardness uniformity of ±10 HB while supporting a stable throughput up to 1 t/h.

Application Scenarios

  • Heat treatment of round bars/steel bars for engineering machinery, mining, and oil & gas
  • Size window: Ø75–110 mm, length 3000–6000 mm
  • Common grades: 45 steel (45#) and comparable carbon/alloy steels

Highlights & Value

  • Tight temperature control: PLC + IR closed loop keeps setpoints stable; ideal for bar quench & temper
  • Consistent properties: full core heat-through yields hardness uniformity ±10 HB
  • Cycle efficiency: continuous throughput up to 1 t/h, fast recipe changeover
  • Energy control: rapid induction heating reduces per-piece energy consumption
  • Compliance & safety: sealed guards and environmental compliance to industrial standards

Main Technical Parameters

  • Quench temperature: 850–1000 °C (integrated bar quench & temper line)
  • Temper temperature: 500–780 °C
  • Final hardness: 25–40 HRC; hardness uniformity ±10 HB
  • Straightness (post-HT): < 1 mm/m (depends on incoming straightness)
  • Cooling media: water / polymer medium, quick on-site switching
  • Feeding system: skewed-roller feed, bar rotates and advances at constant speed
  • Drive architecture: three independently VFD-controlled sections—infeed / inductor / outfeed
  • Inductor section rollers: stainless steel, water-cooled
  • Control & HMI: PLC + IR closed loop, 12″ touchscreen, recipe storage, auto/manual modes
  • Power protections: water temperature/pressure, short-circuit, undervoltage protections
  • Low-temperature capability: −20 °C anti-freeze and drain schemes

Design & Safety

All rotating/exposed parts are fully guarded with a clean sealed appearance. A rigid conveyor frame and U-shaped outfeed table facilitate bundling and lifting. The entire line is engineered for long-term, safe, and environmentally compliant operation of an induction bar quench & temper line.
